New Holland has expanded its T7 series of tractors with two new models – the T7.290 and T7.315.
“These new models are perfect for farming operations that need the power of a large-frame tractor with the versatility of a medium-frame unit,” says Dan Valen, Cash Crop Marketing Manager. “They are ideal for PTO applications such as baling and mowing on large dairy and livestock farms as well as hauling manure, pulling feeding mixers, and running 12-16 row planters and pulling grain carts on row crop farms.”
New Holland says a fundamental design input of the T7.290 and T7.315 was to improve vehicle efficiency to new levels. The engine features New Holland’s ECOBlue Hi-eSCR (High-Efficiency Selective Catalytic Reduction) technology to meet Tier 4B emissions standards. An electronically controlled variable geometry turbocharger delivers the torque required to operate at low engine speed and react quickly to load changes.
The new T7 series models also feature New Holland’s Auto Command continuously variable transmission (CVT) with four direct drive points with 100% mechanical efficiency.
A four speed rear PTO and a two speed front PTO allow the engine to be operated as efficiently as possible. As well, hydraulic circuits have been redesigned to reduce parasitic losses.
The two new T7 models can mount larger group 48 and 49 tires, and customers have the option of rear and front dual wheels. An added benefit for the driver is the ability to monitor the tire pressure on the IntelliView IV display: they can set the ideal pressure for the job they are performing and monitor the pressure on up to 16 tires and receive a warning if the tire pressure moves away from the set values.
The Horizon cab boasts quiet operation at just 69 dB(A). Inside you’ll find the new generation Auto Comfort ventilated seat with standard SideWinder II armrest, and high-intensity 360-degree LED work light.
These new models also feature New Holland’s IntelliCruise ISOBUS Class 3 tractor-baler automation technology that enables the baler to control the tractor’s speed to optimize feed rate and produce a constant flake thickness.
