Kubota Tractor Corporation has announced it has sold its two millionth retail unit in the United States.
The Kubota B2320DTN-1 tractor was sold by Kubota dealership Moen Machinery Company in Gresham, Ore., to customer Don Schmidt Nursery, both of whom were recognized today by Kubota executives in a special ceremony.
“We have been very focused on growing our business here in the U.S., making strategic investments in infrastructure, processes and personnel,” says Masato Yoshikawa, president and CEO of Kubota Tractor Corporation. “Today’s milestone event is a great indication that we are succeeding in building our brand, and that we’re doing the right things to meet the needs of both our dealers and customers.”
The ceremony was held at Don Schmidt Nursery in Boring, Ore., and was attended by the owners and general manager of the nursery.
“Finding out that we had purchased Kubota’s two millionth unit sold in the U.S. was quite a surprise, and certainly an honor,” says Eric Schmidt, president of the nursery. “Given that we’ve been Kubota customers for decades and have several in operation at our nursery, it’s very exciting to be a part of this historical Kubota event.”
Long-time Kubota dealer Moen Machinery was also recognized during the ceremony for their part in the sale of the historic unit.
“We’ve been a Kubota dealer since 1973, just a year after KTC was founded in the U.S.,” says Greg Moen, dealer principal of Moen Machinery. “As Kubota’s business has grown over the years, so has ours. It’s been a privilege to serve great customers in our community like Don Schmidt Nursery, and we’re proud to be a part of this significant milestone.”
